Title: Out of My Hand (OPENING NIGHT FEATURE FILM)
 
Synopsis: Out of My Hand is a narrative feature film about a struggling Liberian rubber plantation worker, Cisco, who risks his family and home to discover a new life as a Yellow Cab driver in New York City.
 
Director’s Bio: Takeshi Fukunaga is a Japanese filmmaker based in New York. He is an alumnus of IFP First Feature Lab and Berlinale Talents. His first feature film, Out of My Hand, premiered in the Panorama section at Berlin International Film Festival and won the Best U.S. Fiction Award at LA Film Festival. Takeshi was nominated for the 2016 John Cassavetes Independent Spirit Award and won the 2015 Emerging Filmmaker Award by Pacific Arts Movement. Takeshi is currently working on his second feature film as a resident of the Cannes Film Festival Cinéfondation residency.

Synopsis: A celebrated young African American actor enrolls at a prestigious theater school in Japan to play the lead role in Shakespeare's Othello, only to find his dreams of greatness are tempered by an instructor who challenges him to question his reason for being there.
 
Director’s Bio: Mr. Theodore A. Adams III is the inspiration and motivation behind Othello-san, and the President and Founder of Red Zeppelin Productions LLC. Othello-san has won six awards in the category of Best Screenplay. His first film was a feature length project, TRI, won 12 Festival Awards. Mr. Adams found the inspiration for the characters in Othello-san from his studies in international schools and from extensive work in Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and South America.
